Imagine Justice Call for Submissions

CCJC’s theme for Restorative Justice week 2015 “Imagine Justice.”  The Church Council on Justice and Corrections has a long history of inspiring and promoting art as a way of furthering the restorative justice message. This year marks the 10th anniversary of The Justice Storytelling Quilt, a CCJC-sponsored project by multi-media artist, Meagan O’Shea.

In recognition of the anniversary, on October 1st 2015 we will be launching our Imagine Justice Art Exhibition call for submissions.  We will be inviting people from all across the country to submit pieces of art thematically connected to restorative justice. CCJC will then host an exhibition during Restorative Justice Week (November 15-22). We will be gathering a volunteer jury to award prizes based on the selection criteria.

On October 1st, 2015 CCJC hosted an event in Ottawa where we heard from some excellent speakers on the theme of Imagine Justice. In the coming days we hope to make the audio recordings of these talks available.  Please check back for updates
