On Thursday October 1st,  7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, join us for a conversation about the role of art in re-imagining justice at the University of Ottawa, Fauteux Hall, room 137.

Our lecture will deliver a “Restorative Justice 101” by Rev. Jamie Scott,  introducing you to the philosophical underpinnings of restorative justice.   We are also excited to welcome longtime restorative justice facilitator, Rev. Dr.Ron Hunt, to present an emotional firsthand account of restorative justice in action.  Former CCJC Community Chair on Justice will discuss the role of art in social justice, highlighting the 10th anniversary of The Justice Storytelling Quilt, a CCJC-sponsored project by multi-media artist, Meagan O’Shea.

Finally, we will be launching the CCJC’s Restorative Justice Week campaign, Imagine Justice Exhibition.  This innovative call for submissions invites students to take the information presented to them in the lecture (lecture content will also be found on our website) and create pieces of art reflecting their responses to restorative justice.
