It is our 40th Anniversary year! We are calling on individuals to show their support for CCJC’s work by sponsoring our Marathon for Healing Justice

John Devries, our Vice President, will participate in the Boston Marathon on April 16, 2012 under the banner of CCJC’s vision to “serve as a shining light for the promotion of humane and restorative interventions in response to the harm caused by crime“. By taking part in an esteemed and widely publicized event like the Boston Marathon, we have a wonderful opportunity to highlight restorative justice, and to live out our faith-based belief that justice and corrections can be a healing process for all harmed by crime – offenders, victims and the community alike.
As a supporter of CCJC, we ask that you help further our vision through a timely donation to our Marathon for Healing Justice campaign. We will gladly accept online donations through CanadaHelps, or cheques mailed to the CCJC office before April 12.
John has calculated a few easy options for donation, all of which acknowledge the hard work his running legs will have to do:
$1/km = a donation of $42.20
$2/km = a donation of $84.40
$5/km = a donation of $211.00
All donations received through CCJC’s Marathon for Healing Justice campaign will be put toward our website development program. For our 40th anniversary we are revitalising our communications capacity to better serve you with timely and relevant research, education, and parish materials to support your faith-based decisions and responses to justice and corrections issues.
Our goal is to launch new communications and the revitalised website for September 2012 in Winnipeg.

En prenant part à une activité bien en vue et grandement publicisée comme le Marathon de Boston, nous avons une occasion en or de mettre en lumière la justice réparatrice et de mettre en pratique notre croyance, reposant sur la foi, voulant que le système judiciaire et carcéral peut devenir un processus de guérison pour tous ceux et celles qui sont touchés par le crime, autant les victimes, les transgresseurs que les membres de la communauté.
Vous qui appuyez le CEJC, nous vous prions de nous aider à concrétiser notre vision en offrant un don ponctuel dans le cadre de notre campagne du Marathon pour la justice réparatrice. Nous accepterons avec joie les dons offerts en ligne par l’intermédiaire de CanaDon (CanadaHelps) et les chèques postés au bureau du CEJC avant le 12 avril prochain.
